Going to a Better Land

I'm going to a better land.
My Savior leads me by the hand,
And from his side I will not roam
'Till I have reached my Father's home.
The paths are steep; the lights are dim,
But all my faith is placed in Him.
When my journeys o'er, I know I'll be
Where my Heavenly Father waits for me.
He's waiting there to welcome me.
What a glorious meeting that will be!
In glory land I know I'll be
Where my Heavenly Father waits for me.
He's waiting there to welcome me
And all His glory share with me.
He'll meet me on the golden strand
And walk with me in glory land.
We'll walk upon those streets of gold.
I'll thank him for His love of old.
From this old world I shall be free,
For he's waiting there to welcome me.
I'll meet with loved ones over there.
The joys of Heaven we shall share.
We have God's promise made to man.
'Twill be fulfilled in glory land.
The saints of God will gather round
With a robe of white and a glittering crown,
While from His throne God speaks to me,
"My child, your Father welcomes thee."
