You Can't Get to Heaven Welcome

You Can't Get to Heaven

You Can't Get to Heaven Divider

You can't go to heaven and here's one reason why.
You can't look at others for the beam that's in your eye.
You can't get to heaven by judging Brother Jim.
You must clear up your vision, for you are worse than him.
You can't get to heaven with a song and a shout.
The things you do in secret, the Lord will find out.

You can't get to heaven and still smoke cigarettes.
The factories up in heaven are not producing yet.
You can't get to heaven and still drink fiery gin,
That's one kind of spirit that just can't enter in.
You can't get to heaven and carry all that sin.
You've got to walk like Jesus; you just can't stagger in.

You can't get to heaven just by being Pentecost,
You've got to love your neighbor, and you've got to seek the lost.
You can't get to heaven by doing mighty deeds;
We all must work together. 'Tis for the common need.
You can't get to heaven by following someone else.
You've got to seek God's highway and walk it for yourself.

You can't get to heaven and take your honest snuff.
There'll be no filth in heaven; God's word is plain enough.
You can't get to heaven if you still tell a lie.
Liars have no place in heaven, but liars still have to die.
You can't get to heaven when this story you have heard
If you still persist in unbelief and will not heed His word.

You can't get to heaven and be a preacher, too,
Unless you preach God's gospel and make it all come true.
You can't get to heaven if you are taking sides.
You must give God the glory and no one else besides.
You can't get to heaven by preaching just a few;
You must preach from Genesis and Revelation, too.

He'll never get to heaven some say, and here is why.
He's always telling others and leaves out the great "Big I."
He'll never get to heaven; his way won't take him through.
There's nothing wrong with him; it's always me and you.
I know the day is coming I'll hear someone say,
He'll never get to heaven, for he wants to go his way.
